Base Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 USD per year + discretionary bonus paid twice yearly
Overview
Our Quant Researchers play a key role in designing, testing, and implementing data-driven trading strategies. You will leverage advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and mathematical modeling to extract insights from large datasets and improve trading performance. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced traders, software engineers, and other researchers in a collaborative environment at the forefront of quantitative finance.
The Role:
As a Quantitative Researcher, you will work closely with the Research and Trading teams to develop models and strategies that drive systematic trading decisions. Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Design, implement, and backtest quantitative trading strategies across equities, derivatives, or crypto markets.
- Analyze large-scale market, reference, and alternative datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and trading signals.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to translate research models into production-ready systems.
- Develop statistical and machine learning models for forecasting, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
- Conduct rigorous performance evaluation, including simulation, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with research in quantitative finance, machine learning, and related fields, and apply findings to enhance trading strategies.
What You Will Bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience at an options/derivatives market-maker.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, R, C++, Java, Rust, etc.) for data analysis and modeling.
- Solid understanding of statistics, probability, time series analysis, and numerical methods.
- Familiarity with financial markets, instruments, and trading concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative ideas clearly to non-technical colleagues.
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and research-driven environment.
